I’m starting to feel the first tendrils of panic about being underprepared – undoubtedly experienced by everybody about to head off on a long trip, but fret-inducing nonetheless. There are still a few important things to sort out (such as copying my documents), but most of my worries seem to stem from the fact that I’m not running round frantically sorting things out. This could mean:

  1. I’m so well-prepared that there isn’t too much to do at this stage, or
  2. Most of the preparations are still to come, and I’ll be working flat out to cram them all in before I leave.
